SIDEWALK PROJECT BEGINS NEXT WEEK IN TOWN OF BOWLING GREEN Concrete repair work will be underway on Main Street starting June 19 through August 21
FREDERICKSBURG – A concrete sidewalk repair project will be underway on Main Street in the Town of Bowling Green this summer, with work beginning on Monday, June 19.
Pedestrians can expect to see work underway on both sides of Main Street between East Broaddus Avenue and Milford Street. The project will be completed by Monday, Aug. 21.
Repairs are being funded through the Virginia Department of Transportation’s maintenance program. VDOT has coordinated repair locations with the Town of Bowling Green.
Most work will occur between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays. Temporary sidewalk, shoulder and entrance closures will be needed as work progresses along Main Street. Pedestrians will always have access to a sidewalk along one side of Main Street while work is underway.
The project contractor is Willy General Contractors, Inc.

VDOT’s 14-county Fredericksburg District includes the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania and Stafford in the Fredericksburg area; Northumberland, Richmond, Lancaster and Westmoreland counties in the Northern Neck; Essex, Gloucester, King & Queen, King William, Mathews and Middlesex counties in the Middle Peninsula.
